A wet winter wonderland means saying buh-bye to your precious pumps and suede boots, but it doesn’t mean you should compromise on style. Rubber boots have once again become fashionable, thanks to brands like Hunter and designer labels, like Burberry, Gucci and Lacoste. With all the logo-embellished PVC out there, Pour La Victoire offers their own edgy, feminine and fashionable take on the winter/spring classic.
Pour La Victoire is a New York-based collection of Brazilian-made shoes. The brand launched in 2007 by designers Jay Adoni and David Giordano, and the brand’s aesthetic is inspired by coquettish, Marie Antoinette styles. While the label carries a mountain of hot, Gossip Girl-style pumps, Pour La Victoire also carries practical pieces suitable for a fashionistas on their days off.
The Ted Stud Rubber Boots come in three colorways: deep purple, forest green and black. The boots are made in Italy and feature stud detailing just below the textured band on top as well as circling the ankle and up the back of the leg. The heel of the boot measures 3/4 inches the circumference measures 16 inches. Finally, a logo tag and buckled strap are located on the outside of each boot.
The rubber boots retail for $285 at ShopBop, which may seem like a hefty price tag for PVC. But remember that rain boots will last you season after season, and the stud details definitely make this pair a standout choice.
