For those that can’t enough of anything Studio Ghibli, recently announced is a new movie for 2010.  The next feature film, ‘Karigurashi no Arrietty‘ is based off of author, Mary Norton’s children’s novel, ‘The Borrowers‘.  Other than knowing the title is based off the main character, 14 year old Arrietty, we also know Studio Ghibli’s rendition is set in modern day Tokyo Koganei as opposed to England in the 50’s.  But regardless of demographics, I’m certain the storyline is linear with the novel.  We’ll just have to see what sort of co-existence struggle the tiny race known as ‘Borrowers’ has with humans in Studio Ghibli’s interpretation.

Karigurashi no Arriety is set to release Summer 2010, with the international release to occur afterwards.  I simply can not wait for another Studio Ghibli epic.
