While some of us may be loosely window shopping for netbooks,  I came across the Compulab fit-PC2i nettop and was blown away by the punch it packs.  Slightly larger than an iPhone, this 4 x 4.5 x 1.05 unit houses is fanless, houses an Intel Atom processor, is capable of running Windows 7, and most importantly consumes very little energy.  From the casual web surfer to someone that wants an energy efficient file server, htpc or music box, this is a great solution.  CompuLab’s fit-PC2i is due to release next month.  See below for the full press release.

CompuLab introduces fit-PC2i – the smallest dual GbE PC

fit-PC2i is targeting networking and industrial applications. Based on Intel Atom Z5xx CPU, the fit-PC2i is the smallest, most power efficient PC available on the market. It incorporates dual Gbit Ethernet ports, addressing the growing demand for low power servers, firewalls and industrial PCs.

Measuring just 4″x4.5″x1.05″ and weighting mere 13oz the fit-PC2i provides the complete PC functionality –
