Vans’s Top 5:

American Apparel Unisex Bow Tie

RSA0511_05

American Apparel has always been on top of their accessories game.  Adding a bow tie to a dress shirt underneath a cardigan is an iconic look.  However, for those of us including myself, who can’t manually tie one, this is the solution.  Step up your casual Friday and pick up a few in a variety of textiles and colors.

Insight Chromatic Hoody

918303-BLAzoom1

I was first made aware of Insight’s line of clothing via Jackthreads. Having bought several items in the past, this has become one of my trusted brands for casual wear.  Here is another item on my checklist. The chromatic hoody is a mesh between a cardigan with its button down features along with a hood on the back.  And I absolutely love the monochromatic pattern. Buy Here

Ben Sherman ‘Sigma’ zip up mock turtle neck cardigan

BE-MX3415M_ROULETTE_front

Ben Sherman is another brand I’ve been faithfully wearing since the late 90’s.  The latest piece of many that I’ve set my eyes on is this mock turtle neck cardigan.  The highlights include a cross hatched boxed pattern.  And to my surprise, it also features a logo tag on the left forearm.  Could the British brand be paying homage to the king of collaborations and trendsetter, Hiroshi Fujiwara? New Era Cap Storage System

Laying fitteds on top of sneaker boxes or simply on the shelf of a closet may be a good look for some.  However, New Era has an alternative for those that haven’t figured out a storage solution.  Their cap storage system is partitioned into 2 tiers that can house 24 fitteds total. Buy Here

Mishka Shoulder Bag

7843

Dave knows my collection of bags is as disgusting as my sneakers.  Here is just one more I may need in my life by Mishka.  The colorway reminds me of my first article of clothing by the brand and also features the Madchester lining.  And for those that plan to buy it from BecomeFitted, make sure to wait for one of hteir many promotions that can save you up to 44%. DT’s Top 5:

Alexander McQueen 9 Credit Card Money Clip

am0108red_01

There are a few items I think every man should spend money on, one of those items is a great wallet. I can’t mentioned how many times people grab my wallet and look at the uniqueness of it. Well here’s a contender to replace my current piece. It’s an Alexander McQueen piece that holds 9 credit cards and features a money clip inside the wallet to hold your bills. The money clip to me really stands out to me as I’ve only seen a few designers actually utilizing this type of clip. The outside of the wallet takes it to the next level as it’s presented in a burgundy snakeskin with the McQueen name and skull logo are embossed on the outside. Not douchey skull like Audiger or Hardy, but real subtle.

Shwood Canby

shwood003

During the summer or hell even the winter, men essentially look the same, whether it’s a t-shirt and jeans or a black winter with jeans. But one thing does help us guys stand out, at least when it’s sunny, and that’s sunglasses. I have a pair of tortoise pair of Tom Fords that helps my eyewear pop out a touch more than people with the standard black frames. So it’s no surprise that I love these Shwood shades, in particular I’m in love with the Canby line as it has that classic wayfarer look, but what makes these stand out is that they’re made of WOOD! Yep that’s right, available in Maple, Wenge or Zebrawood, each wood stands out cus of their natural wood colors. All pieces are hand-made and come with 100% UVA/UVB protection Carl Zeiss lenses imported from Italy.

Kai-aakmann Long Coat

KAIA-MO5_V1

This season it’s been said by many fashion experts that the peacoat is back in action, but honestly I feel like that’s a bit played out. Don’t get me wrong, I love a great peacoat when it fits right. But my obsession started to change a few years ago, when I noticed every guy had a peacoat, so deciding to throw a twist on things for myself personally. I started my long quest of finding the right trench / long coat and let me tell you, it’s not easy when you’re 5’6”, they’re generally too long for a frame that height. But here’s a great long coat that won’t break your bank from Kai-aakmann. This poly-wool jacket looks thick and will protect you against the cold and wet elements from mother nature yet keep you stylish as hell.

Surface 2 Air Will Coat

p3167_1

If the long coat isn’t your thing then here’s another jacket that I love. It’s by Surface 2 Air and called “Will”. Other than that, Surface 2 Air doesn’t really provide too much more information on this coat. We know that the fabric is 100% Cotton and the outter shell is a heavy moleskin. The lining on the inside of the coat really stands out for me as well, I love a great lining in a jacket. It’s a surprise for folks when you open that jacket up and BAM a dope lining hits them across the face.

Insight The Pervert 2 Buttondown

913317-orazoom1913317-redzoom1

Anybody who knows me knows I rarely ever roll out with just a t-shirt, it’s very rare. You’ll always catch me in a hoodie or a button up shirt. My taste in button ups range from very clean, straight lines to straight out punch you in the face loud ass flannel. Hey, color is lacking in most people’s lives so its’ no wonder whenever I rock my flannels I always get compliments, I’m not talking your usual lumberjack type colors, give the style a twist by wearing it in different colors that one wouldn’t usually see. These ones from Insight are perfect for my taste. Some other alternatives are ones from 10.Deep and Stussy, both also make some great looking flannels as well.
