Ryan Harc’s ‘Colorless’ Coke Can

Ryan Harc’s ‘Colorless’ Coke‘ can design is an effort to eliminate the process of removing paint during the recycling process. Whereas Coca Cola’s household recognized colors have been taken away, an embossed logo takes its place for brand recognition. So not only is the revamped can another green initiative, its actually a pretty damn well thought out design. I don’t know about the general media, but I’d really like to see these in a store fridge asap.

What a great design initiative AND its environmentally friendly. But the raised lettering has got to be more expensive in comparison to the inks and printing process. I hope this is for real and not just a novelty. Either way, props to Coca-Cola’s packaging designers.
