First off, thank you Anami. Thank you for letting me use flash and go to town with it. I’m sorry if you were seeing spots for the rest of the night.
Second, great show. Although the venue wasn’t packed from wall to wall, the people that were there had enough energy and excitement to fill the room: they were Anami’s dedicated following of true fans.
Anami played all of the tracks from his latest album, They Made Me Do It, to a crowd that couldn’t have been happier to be part of the album’s release party… they were all super stoked, ryhming along with Anami the whole night. It obviously helps that Anami has a couple sing-along-with-me tracks that make it easy for even new listeners to learn his rhymes quickly. At one point Anami and band even gave us some “Ice Ice Baby”.
Best song of the night was “Take Your Shirt Off”. It’s a great party song. Right after the song, and after seeing how stoked everyone was to hear it, Anami admitted that they should have saved the best for the last. S’alright Anami, you followed it up with some other gems.
