RIM has officially announced that the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is set to be released in November. This phone will lose the dreaded trackball and utilize the optical trackpad, which is a welcomed change. In the US the BlackBerry 9700 will be available on AT&T and T-Mobile, though the two devices will be slightly different as T-Mobile employs a different spectrum for 3G. So Canadians if you want to buy one from the US make sure you get the AT&T version as that’s the one that will be compatible with the 3G network.
