Balenciaga has chosen to work with Jennifer Connelly again, the face of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection.
The ad campaign, photographed by Steven Meisel, feels luxurious with it’s rich colours, fabrics, furniture, and obviously, the clothing. But I’m really not sure how I feel about some of Jennifer’s poses. Maybe they’re supposed to feel awkward? And I’m not sure what the point of designing such unrealistically high shoes is all about. I get that couture clothing isn’t always “wearable”, but it usually isn’t lethal either.
