Polaroid Making a Come Back

In June of 2008 Polaroid officially stopped production of analog Instant Film, closing their remaining factories. Eventually Impossible B.V. acquired the Polaroid production plant in Netherlands and is now working to re-invent and re-produce analog film for vintage Polaroid cameras.

In addition to this they’re also working on building a new hardware that uses updated technology in the instant film cameras. Impossible B.V. are looking to begin selling these cameras in the second half of 2010. Stay tuned as more information is coming down the pipeline. I can say I’m pretty stoked on this as my first camera as a kid was a Polaroid Spirit 600 that my dad picked up for me from a garage sale so that I would stop taking his Canon SLR.
