What looks to be a Star Wars themed airship is actually the world’s first stealth fighter built during World War II. The Horten 2-29 never quite made it into mass production in time for the war (this of course is a good thing). However, with Northrop Grumman’s assistance, a replica Horten 2-29 was built and tested to see if indeed it was able to evade WWII era radars. Currently, the retro-future stealth jet is currently residing at the Air and Space Museum’s Paul E. Garber Restoration and Storage Facility.
