It was confirmed earlier this week that Futurama will be making a Family Guy-esque comeback on Comedy Central next year. Published in an article earlier this week by Variety, show creator Matt Groening (The Simpsons) as well as Twentieth Century Fox execs agreed that the 4 Futurama DVD movies helped spark new life back into the franchise. Futurama is one of my favorite shows of all time. I’ve never been a huge Family Guy fan and always felt that if FOX was going to save an animated TV show, they should have invested in Futurama. Well, it sounds like FOX heard my (and probably millions of others) cries over the past five years and they have agreed to begin creating 26 brand new episodes.
