Young starlet Emma Watson is the new face of Burberry. The 19-year-old Harry Potter star graces the house’s Fall 09 campaign. Shot by renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino, Watson was apparently an “obvious choice” for the brand.
“Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign who like the image she fronts, has a classic beauty a great character and a modern edge,” says Burberry creative director Christopher Bailey. “Emma’s charm, intellect and brilliant sense of fun made the whole shoot feel like a picnic on the Thames.
“I wanted the images to represent both the rich history and modernity of the Burberry brand whilst at the same time reflecting a quiet beauty, timelessness and strength that is particularly significant today,” continues Bailey.
Watson is the first celebrity face to grace the brand in a while. She follows a plethora of models – Lily Donaldson, Eden Clark, Alexina Graham and Richard Wyndham, who were all in the Spring 09 campaign. Prior to that, models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Agyness Deyn were also faces of the brand.
Do you think Emma Watson does a good choice for the brand? Who would you like to see be the next face of Burberry?

i’ve seen some of her other modeling shoots and she always looks really stiff and bland to me.
but i guess at least i can’t see her eyebrows waggling around like when she is “acting”
