Xbox 360’s Project Natal was recently unveiled at E3 2009 and it takes interactive gaming to a whole different level. Whereas the Wii relies on its’ infrared ray inductor to pick up the Wiimote’s actions, Project Natal relies solely on the player’s gestures and utilizes voice and face recognition, . Watch the clip to see this revolutionary gaming and entertainment system in action. Word on the street is Project Natal also allows Twitter and Facebook integration. I would assume tweeting would be done via voice. But how would internet abbreviations and emoticons work?

I saw this during the Conference. It’s pretty amazing and the fact that it’s working is also something to look forward. Then again they didn’t specify what hardware was making use of it. This is basically the stepping stone to ubiquitous computing. Imagine walking into a waiting room and having your playlist streamed to you.
