You know movie news is getting a bit stale when the latest and greatest buzz from around town is about a Bazooka Joe movie in the works. You read that correctly, the 2-3 panel comic strip you used to throw away (or in my case accidentally consume) whenever you tore open a piece of Bazooka Joe bubble gum is coming to the big screen. The idea is coming from former Disney Exec Michael Eisner, who since leaving the Happiest Place On Earth has sprung up online mostly with his video site Veoh. At first I thought this was a joke, but then I read that he has already hired a writer to pen the script.
Upon receiving this news, the folks over at Funny Or Die decided to “leak some early footage,” of the Bazooka Joe flick – according to this clip, it will be an origin story of how Joe gets his eye patch…
