On May 14, 2009, Blink-182 reunited to play at the T-Mobile Sidekick Party in Hollywood at the Paramount Studios. This occasion would mark Blink-182’s return as they ended a four year hiatus from playing together. Before Blink came on, Weezer took to the stage and ignited the audience’s attention with covers from MGMT and Lady Gaga. The band covered MGMT’s “Kids” and Lady Gaga’s “Pokerface”. Clearly, there is a reason why I’ve been a fan of Weezer for years. Weezer will be going on tour with Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy this summer, the tour kicks off on July 24th. This makes me nostalgic of Alternative and Punk music from the ’90s. I miss that era.
