Anybody following us on Twitter (@Killahbeez) have seen myself tweet about how spectacular and professing my addiction to 7-Eleven Jamaican beef patties. Living in Vancouver, we have a few Caribbean spots that are well known for one specific thing as opposed to having a solid menu. For example Riddim & Spice with their patties and so-so jerk chicken, Kiss Yo Mama with their Ox-tail and Rehanah’s Roti for their roti. If anyone dares to put The Reef on this list, you will personally get slapped by me. Anyways the whole 7-Eleven Jamaican beef patty phenomenon all kinda just happened by accident. After a late night bike ride I was starving for some eats and decided to pop into the 7-Eleven and to my surprise saw a patty. I thought, $1.79, what the hell, I ain’t got nothing to lose at that price. Within the first bite the spicy flavours were dancing on my tongue and it was love at first taste.
Cruising around on Google you’ll find a lot of these types of comments “I’ve tried many beef patties, surprisingly the ones at 7-11 are very good” and I would have to agree. Theres a lot of meat for the price that you’re paying. So the next time you pass a 7-Eleven, stop in and give their patties a try, you won’t regret it.
7-Eleven, I’d like a 1000 of them shipped to my condo along with the cooker that you cook them in. Umm…thank you.
