Yesterday, the White House held a press conference to address the recent cases of the swine flu found in the United States.  The Obama administration urged the public to be on alert after declaring it as a public health emergency in the country.  If you’re curious about the location of the flu, Google Maps has an application which provides a tracking tool for the outbreak of the flu on a global map.

This application will be able to provide you with the date of the infected person and location. The pink markers indicate suspected areas of outbreak, purple confirms areas infected with the flu and markers with a dot indicates death caused by the swine flu.  According to the map, New York is the closest confirmed location to me (approximately five hours in driving time).
