I was watching the show How I Met Your Mother starring Neil Patrick Harris the other night, hilarious show by the way, when I started to reminisce about his first role as Doogie Howser, M.D. He made the show and was quite loveable and who can forget his best friend Vinnie played by Max Casella. The show ran for four season started in 1990 and had its final episode on March 24th, 1993. Here’s a description of the show:

Douglas Howser is a doctor. He is also a 16-year-old genius, he graduated college at age 10 and finished medical school at age 14. But he is still a teenager, with normal teenage friends and problems. Like all adolescents, he feels that his father doesn’t understand him. He is just learning to drive, and just starting to pay attention to girls even while consulting on serious medical causes like heart transplants. It’s a funny and touching story about growing up with more than the usual responsibilities and demands.

Pretty amazing right?  I went online to search for old episodes and well, I found the whole series on Hulu.com and have since been catching up on them. It’s actually pretty refreshing, because of shit I didn’t necessarily understand as a kid, I do now. For Canadians, here how you can access Hulu, read here.

In the episode below, titled “The Ice Queen Cometh”, an attractive female doctor at the hospital that Doogie works at wants him to father her child.

My favorite part of the show was always the end when Doog would write a digital journal entry (much like this blog stuff you see these days) with his com0uter from 1985.

Please help. I am a bit of a luddite here in Canada – BC.
I downloaded Hotspot shield to my OSX.4.11 mac and placed in my applications folder as it said to do.
Then went to hulu.com directly and then by clicking on the Doogie Howser show on your site here. It tproceeds to load and then up comes a message saying available to US addresses only. So I checked the Hotspot shield and it is running (or so it says when I tried to throw it into the trash (can’t do because program is open).
So I can’t access Hulu, can see no sign that HSS is running but also can’t get rid of it now.

Any suggestions? Feels like spyware just sitting on my laptop. I’m not happy.
Will I have to clear all and reinstall from original discs now or is there a way to make it work OR actually get it off my computer??

    All good things,

    Pat
