Here’s an oldie but goodie and actually kinda scares me that its been 17 years since I first heard The Offsprings second album Ignition, scared me so much that I actually had to do the math SEVERAL times. That album came out in ‘92, but I don’t think I actually got it until the end of ‘92 or ‘93 and it came by way of a school mate that recorded the whole album on tape for me and told me that I must check it out. I loved the album, but the album that would really capture me was their third album, Smash. Dropping in ‘94 the album had three official videos:”Come Out and Play” (Video below), “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away”, but honestly the whole album was pretty fantastic. Sales don’t lie either, the album to this day still holds the record for the biggest selling indie album of all time, 12 million worldwide and 6 million in the US. The album Smash was just re-released again on June 17th of 2008.
