LiveNation has announced a special concert featuring hip hop artist Jay-z. He is scheduled to perform on January 19, 2009 – the eve of Barack Obama’s Presidential Inauguration.
The promotional camp at LiveNation will be feeding off the profit of this concert as four million people are expected to travel to the nation’s capital during the Inauguration week.
Since the majority of these individuals are paying a huge price to rent homes during the week, I suppose that they are willing to pay $500 to sit in the Orchestra section.
Pre-sale tickets were launched yesterday and will be offered to VIP members of CitiBank and Live Nation until 10 PM tonight. The general public will be able to purchase tickets on Friday, starting at 10 AM EST.
