Nylon Magazine recently named her as one of the “It Girls” to watch out for. You may recognize her face from magazines, fashion shows, or even Cobrasnake. At just 24 years of age, this Brit is already making headlines across the globe.
Why exactly is Alexa Chung famous you ask? Aside from being a former fashion model, she’s currently a tv presenter and was a co-host of the British show Popworld. While on the show, she conducted an interview with Panic at the Disco’s lead singer, and in the middle of the interview corrected his grammar causing him to get upset. The clip was on YouTube and had received about 10,000 comments from angry American fans of the band.
Chung’s also known for dating musicians including the singer from the Horrors, a member from Klaxons, and Arctic Monkeys’ lead singer Alex Turner with whom she is currently with. In 2007 Chung started making the “Best Dressed” lists for Vogue, Glamour, and Tatler magazines. She’s famous for her eccentric and laid-back style, sometimes mixing it up with a rock and roll edge. There’s no doubt that this girl can pull off almost any look. Plus it doesn’t hurt when your social circle consists of other fashionistas like Kelly Osbourne, Pixie and Peaches Geldof, and supermodel Agyness Deyn. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing her on many more “Best Dressed” lists in the near future.
