Immediately when I came across this mixed medium piece, my first thought was where I have come across those eyes before.  It didn’t take too long to recall that PaperMonster had several pieces displayed at Art Whino some time ago.  The above stencil painting is an ode to Samus of Metroid appropriately named “The Return of Samus”.  Having seen PaperMonster’s previous work, I’m confident enough to say anyone must see this piece in person.  The I am 8-Bit show commences this Thursday and continues onward to Sunday, September 7th.  If you happen to be in LA, mark it on your calendar to attend this event.
