One of my favorite designers of today would have to be Charlotte Ronson.  If you’re thinking that her last name sounds familiar, that is because she is the fellow sibling of DJ/music producer Mark Ronson and DJ Samantha Ronson. Born in London but raised in New York, Charlotte always possessed a unique sense of style starting at an early age.

She created her first collection in 2000 called C.Ronson. The collection consisted of t-shirts, lingerie pieces, and wedge heels. In 2002 she opened up her flagship store in New York’s NoLita neighborhood off of Elizabeth Street, which acquired international press exposure. She teamed up with Sanei International, a Japanese apparel giant, in 2005 and together revamped the brand. The collection began to reflect a more sophisticated and upscale look, and the name went from C.Ronson to Charlotte Ronson.

Her collection has an assortment of clothes and shoes, possessing a certain girlish charm. Her clothes are often worn by celebrities Nicole Richie, Gwen Stefani, and Kate Moss. The flagship store is now currently located on Mulberry Street.
