98 degrees and rising - last Saturday (June 7th) was not only hot and sweaty but fresh and funky as we nodded our heads, danced, sang our hearts out (lost the voice at that) and felt the Philly vibes first hand at The Roots family picnic. First off The Roots went off the meter with their mashups of Justin Timberlakes “Sexy Back”, Salt n Peppa’s “Push It”, Biz Markie’s “Just a Friend”, Sugar Hill Gangs “Rappers Delight”, Le Chic’s “We Are Family”, Snoop and Dre’s “Deep Cover” Kanye’s “Flashing Lights” and Nas’ “Made You Look”.
